Corrective Jaw Surgery - Before and After

Corrective Jaw Surgery - Before and After

Corrective jaw surgery results can be dramatic, but even when subtle, the before and after pictures usually sum up the entire story.

I know how much people like to fast-forward to the ending, because I was searching for before and after photos before my surgery too!

What kind of results will I get?
Will there be a big difference?
Are my family and friends going to recognize me?
Will I look better or worse?
Is my face going to look “fake” a la Joan Rivers?

These are all questions that were racing through my mind, and they are questions that I still get on a regular basis from future jaw surgery patients.

I just set up a brand new section on the official Jaw Surgery Forums to try and further help people find and see real results from real people.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if you could have clicked a few buttons and seen an entire list of orthognathic surgery patients’ before and after photos, PLUS the ability to leave a comment and/or ask a question right underneath?

So, I need your help, and I’m willing to bribe you to get it.

To everyone who has already gone through the overbite and/or underbite surgery or is in the pre-surgery process, please follow the simple instructions in the video below to post your before and/or after pictures on the forums.

The contest will run from August 1st through August 31st, at which point I will randomly select a winner from the forums to receive a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.

You can use this massive windfall to stock up on jaw surgery supplies or anything else that has to offer.

Of course the thought of genuinely helping out a fellow jaw surgerista should provide at least some extra value too…

Enter yourself in less than 5 minutes:

1. Watch the video below

2. Follow the instructions

3. Cross your fingers until August 31st

P.S. – The forums are located here, and if you have any trouble signing up or logging in, just leave a comment below to let me know, and I’ll be glad to help:

UPDATE: The contest is now closed, and the winner is here, but we can never have enough before and after photos, so please keep them coming!

    Hi Brandon,
I’m scheduled to have my lower jaw surgery in December and I’m so excited about it. I’ve heard that after surgery your voice changes. Did yours change?

  • Marianela

What a coincidence, i had my surgery yesterday and i just got home and red this mail. XDI’m still a little dizzy to follow those instructions right now, but i surely will. I’m very thankful to you and all the other cases that made me easier to make this decision. Bye.

  • Hi Taryn,

I haven’t heard of that happening from anyone yet, and I don’t think my changed at all.

  • Haha, I completely understand Marianela, congrats on a successful surgery!

  • Hi Brandon,

I remember watching your videos and reading your blog over 1 year ago.

Just 5 days ago, I had a double jaw surgery similar to yours. I will be uploading more photos of myself to my own blog once I have access to my own computer.

I still feel kind of miserable at the moment because my jaws are tightly wired together. The good thing is, I feel a bit better everyday. The swelling is slowly coming down for me and I hope to get over the worst part of the recovery soon.

  • Hi Vince,

Congrats on a successful surgery, and I look forward to seeing your after photos.

Your blog looks great, and feel free to join us on the forums and include a link to your blog in your sig.

I have some before and after lower corrective jaw surgery photos that will astound you. Done by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Omaha Nebraska (Dr. Jared Brown) Maxofacial (sp) surgery Dept. that are incredible. and I have a story to go with it, how do I register as a user and upload photo’s. I am 45 and am not techy. However the surgery being the great success it is and the results beautiful, there were some complications including rejection of metal and a second surgery to remove all infection and infected metal.

    Thank You,

  • I would love to hear and see your story Mark, as I’m sure the other patients would too. I’ll email you now, and if you want, you can just reply to that with your story and pics, and I’ll post them up for you.

How old were you when you got this surgery?
    Did it change your appearance?
Are the risks of the doctor messing it up high?

All the people around me say “don’t do it blahblahnlab” but no one really knows what it’s like to have this underbite…

I think I can’t get my surgery for another 2 years.

  • These questions are different for every person and every case so it’s impossible to give a blanket answer, but you can browse the forums to see the experience of others here:
