1 month after single Lower Jaw Surgery I notice that my lips and lower mouth is still acting like the lower jaw has not shifted back.
Pictures are below for comments; would like to ask if its just me? and more importantly if the lips and lower mouth will actually take time to 'acclimatize' to the new length of the lower jaw.

1 Month Post-op Frontal Smile: Is it because my lower lip covers a little of my top set of teeth? And since the top set of teeth is naturally in a more forward position; the lower lips end up getting stretched forward?
I also notice that to close my mouth my upper lip does not tend to come down but rather my lower lip going up and covering my top set of teeth; which all requires a conscious slight amount of effort as compared to the rest position (which involves leaving my mouth open) Don't wanna look like a dork; so how do you get into a comfortable closed mouth position without exerting the effort and stretching the lower lip?
What should I do to reduce this lower lip forward position? Will it naturally take the shape of the new jawline; if so how long does it usually take?
After removing braces and elastics will the situation improve?
Following are some profile shots before surgery; 1 day post-op and 1 month post-op

Don't have one 1 day after surgery cause it looks like the side profile; when smiling.

As shown, it looks really obvious to me (or am I just imagining?) especially when smiling.
Anyone has the same problem? Will it all get better in months to come?
