    Awesome results! Thanks for sharing.

On 12/28/11 I had a 4 piece LeFort 1 procedure done to correct an open bite.

    Thanks everyone.

I had my first steak last night. I probably could have managed it sooner, but I wanted to wait until my braces were off, to appreciate it that bit more. I get my retainer tomorrow, so a life time of sleeping with that in begins.

I had my last steak in a restaurant on sat night - was amazing. Knew I would not be able to have one for ages so that's why I chose a really nice steak restaurant. Hope u enjoyed yours.

I did enjoy it thanks. I can't remember the last time I had one. I didn't use this forum or anything else for advice before surgery, so I had no idea how long it'd be before eating stuff again, lol.

Got my retainers today. Forgot how weird these also feel at first. Next appointment at the orthodontist isn't until August now, which is strange to think I won't be back there until it's been a year post-op.

Hey, I have a really similar issue to yours, kind of 'long face syndrome', but have been told I could just have my upper jaw moved up (I don't know the correct terms yet) by about 4 or 5mm and my lower jaw will autorotate forward to fit but would have to be moved sideways a bit due to asymmetry.
How long has this entire process taken you and how scary is surgery?
