4 Weeks Sore Throat + questions

    I'm 4 weeks post op and banded shut but i've had this sore throat for about 2 weeks now mostly on the left side. It doesn't hurt but when i swallow it's just bothersome. When i clench my throat I also feel it, just wondering if anyones experienced this before?
    My mouth is banded shut so it might just be germs from poor rinsing?

    Also my skin under my lips seem to be oily and when i rub it theres like mushy skin on it, is it something i should be worried about?

    One last question: i'm not on meds anymore so is it ok to drink a glass of beer? When did u start drinking alcohol? (for drinkers out there) and if anyone drank while banded shut?

    yes i had a sore throat after sugrery but i never had oily lips just sore throat don't worry that will clear up eventally

    had double jaw sugery 16 april 2005
    top jaw moved back
    and my bottom jaw forawrd

    i had my first drink (alcohol) at 4 weeks.wasnt on any meds at that point.but was banded shut and still am 3 months later ,so had plenty of alcohol since while banded
