I wouldn't say its impossible, but its probably unlikely that you would be able to have surgery so soon, although i have heard of one person that was able to have sugery very quickly, but the main thing contributing to the wait for surgery is getting teeth in the right position for it, so it will depend on how ready your teeth are for the surgery. If you have braces now, i don't think there are any special braces that you have to get for surgery, im pretty sure braces are all pretty serving the same purpose
I hope that helps a bit, im not sure if i answered your question properly.

I've had braces 5 years but that is only because of problem with my first orthodontist messed things up and made them worse, which meant that my new orthodontist had to fix all of that before i was ready for surgery, which im having in december.
I have heard of people going through with surgery and having it organised very quickly, but you will definitely just have to get ontop of everything, and start organising things as soon as possible, and ask your surgeon about how quickly you can do it all, and you may just have to be realistic, because these things take time, i have had this organised for 4 months now.
But good luck for getting it in December, i can completely understand wanting to get everything done as soon as possible, if i could i would have had braces off 3 years ago.

Don't worry. My pre op was nov 14th for a Dec1'st surgery date. My surgeon is the the chief dental surgeon at the Montreal General Hospital, and director of the residency program. He says they wait to so close to the surgery to get the most accurate molds as possible for planning surgery so your teeth don't move much in between.
And I understand your frustrations I had braces for 7 years, and was left with an overbite and overjet that was not corrected using growth guidance measures hence I have to re-wear braces now for around 2 years and have surgery to correct it all.

Since your initial braces were used to compensate your jaw discrepency, wearing them most likely pushed your teeth in the opposite direction of where they need to be for jaw surgery. So you'll have to be in braces for longer than usual before the jaw surgery not the other way around. In order to perform a successful jaw surgery your teeth need to be lined up with your jaws. If you initially had braces to try and correct the overbite they are doing the opposite of trying to line your teeth up with your jaws because they want the bite to fit. When you get braces for surgery, they are lining your teeth up with your jaw and increasing your overbite and then the surgery moves the jaws to the correct position so the teeth fit. Not the answer you wanted to hear, but its the truth.
