    I'm not sure my case is severe enough for insurance to pay for my surgery until i meet with my surgeon on the day of my consult.,
    Anyone here from Canada who has had this surgery done? And if Ontario health insurance paid for it. Also if you paid out of pocket was the hospital fees paid for by OHIP???

    And what was the cost of it all??

    I've seen quite a few people on here from Canada, if you do a search for "Canada" up in the box that says "Search forums" you'll see some of the other threads

    I'm Brandon, the creator of JawSurgeryBlog.com. I personally had upper and lower jaw surgery on October 30, 2007. Thankfully, everything went beautifully, so I'm trying to make sure everyone else's surgery goes smoothly as well!

    Hi there, I live in Ontario. I did not have insurance anyway so I paid for it myself. I'm not sure if insurance pays for it, perhaps it depends on whether it is cosmetic or medical. I had upper and lower jaw and genioplasty..it cost me $3000...the hospital stay was paid for by OHIP. I had it done in Toronto by a fabulous surgeon Dr. Tocchio.
