Hello!
I am considering lower jaw surgery to solve my 11 mm class II division 1 maloclussion.
I want to ask you, who has done this, are you sleeping better, breathing better and eating (more) better, after all?
In order to see my problem, I uploaded telerentgen, just to see my problem, because I dont know is it called overbite or overjet... Here you can see it: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=ic2vxt&s=7
This is the picture I have done at the end of my first braces treatment, which was unsuccesufull, and I thing that my lower jaw is positioned more back than before that treatment, but I dont have picture on the computer of the state before first treatment.

You have the same size overbite I had before my surgery. I had brace treatment several years ago to try and correct it, but didn't work and my jaw just went even further back and caused TMJ problems, and so I had the surgery 6 and a half weeks ago.
I feel I do sleep much better as I wake up a lot more refreshed. Before the surgery, even having plenty of sleep, I'd always wake up feeling sluggish and tired. Breathing wasn't really a problem before the surgery, but I can't really say still as my nose is still a bit messed up, so I'm breathing through my mouth alone a lot still.
I'm starting to eat a lot more now, and it is a lot easier. Especially when biting with my front teeth as I no longer have to project my jaw forward to bite.
I'm still getting used to talking with my jaw in its new position though lol.
I have some photos here if you're looking to see the difference. http://www.jawsurgeryblog.com/forums/topic/3-weeks-post-surgery-photos-beforeafter. Don't have any xray ones yet. Keep meaning to ask for them at my appointments. I also had upper jaw surgery, which fixed my gummy smile.

Hi! Thank you for your response! I saw your pictures! Your progress is great! Surgery really did the job! Did they pull your upper teeth back in first treatment, so thats the reason why you needed to do both jaws surgery? I am now on the edge, I need to tell my orthodontist -1st option - surgery, or second option - pull my upper teeth back! What do you think? Does anyone have those expirience, or any information?
