Hi There- So I am 2 weeks post op today, had a Le Fort 1 Osteotomy and Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy. Still have a lot of swelling, but getting better every day! What an experience, but I am so glad I got it done. The alignment is perfect, have numbness, but minimal compared to what I have heard is possible. I also fought my insurance company for a year to get it covered, and I finally got it approved, had the surgery 3 weeks later. Total cost was $80K, so I am sooo sooo thankful that it got approved. Let me know if you have any questions or tips with the insurance, if you are struggling to get it covered, my advice to you is don't give up, miracles can happen!! :-)
