I have vertigo and doctor wasn't entirely sure what was causing it, most probably inner ear problems. I've read on the net that some people with jaw problems have vertigo due to their jaws affecting their inner ears so I thought I might have this problem. I have an open bite and am planning to have jaw surgery.
Do you think jaw surgery would affect the inner ears at all and make matters worse?

I just had lower jaw surgery 7 weeks ago. Post-OP, my inner ears sure hurts on the inside (ocassionally) but it gets better every day and gone after about 2-3 weeks.
I personally don't know if it will affect inner ears or make it worse.

My jaw surgery was yesterday and my inner ears just started hurting too.
