Wow, you look great! I'm having the same type of surgery done next month and hope it turns out as well. What did you have done to your upper jaw?

Thank you :) I had my upper jaw moved forwards and upwards. Good luck with your surgery x

    Hey Cat,
I was wondering what the status on your "feeling" is. Have you regained all the feeling in your mouth yet? It looks like they have to cut through the nerve for this type of surgery, and I'm wondering how it affects feeling/speech in the face afterwards. Thanks.

    Hi there,

I still don't have 100% feeling but they told me they didn't cut through the nerve so I'm likely to regain feeling at some point.

It doesn't effect speech, just sensation, from what I've experienced.

Hope that was some help :D

Looks great :) I had surgery to fix an overbite as well. I'm still getting used to my jaw being in the correct position etc, haha.

    Hi Cat,
I was wondering how long before your surgery were you able to sit down with your surgeon and plan out what would be done to your jaw. Did you get to see a video simulation or anything like that beforehand? Did your surgeon just look at you and tell you what to have done, or did you tell him what you wanted to have fixed? I hope you don't mind all the questions. You've had such great results, so I figure you'd be a good person to ask.
I still haven't gotten any kind of game plan from my surgeon - which makes me nervous. Congrats again on a successful surgery!
