You look STUNNING! Congrats! You must feel so confident.
I had under bite jaw surgery done 31 yrs ago. My son, 16 has the same condition and will be going for his 1st MD appt on Wed.
He is dealing w/low esteem issues and it breaks my heart.
So happy that I found this website. He feels so hopeful, looking at the before & after pics.
Thanks & best of luck to you!!

Wow 31 years ago. I was wondering other day if there are any problems that arise after a few years, but clearly not if you are supporting your son through same thing. I have my lower jaw surgery in 9 days!!

Hi, I just want to say thank you to everyone for their kind words. It's really so nice to have such good feedback and it means a lot to me. I wish you all the best for your own surgeries, it's really been the best thing I've ever done!

Ready4change- I spoke to my surgeon a year before my surgery date. I don't know if that time frame changes depending on who you see though. He asked me what I didn't like about my jaw and gave advice. In the end I really left it to him because he's the professional! You are in good hands, so try not to worry too much (I know it's hard not to though hehe!)

foundosdesign@aol.com- It's wonderful that he has your support, it's probably the most important thing during this surgery- something I'm sure you are very familiar with. I had insecurities before my surgery and whilst surgery isn't the answer to all my problems it's definitely gave me a confidence boost. I send him lots of luck and hope everything goes smoothly :)
