I use camex and everytime Im in the bathroom I put nutreginas moister anti oil face lotion on that I bought at target. After 6 days post op my face is totally moisturized! I also put a little extra on before bed so it really soaks in. I'm sure any lotion would work. I just got stuff specifically for my face because I can't stand breaking out and looking chapped. Surgery is bad enough, gotta keep my good skin lol. Hope that helps!

You don't wanna lick them. That'll just make it worse.

Just keep using vaseline or something. They're gonna stay dry for a while until you can start breathing through your nose again.

The surgeon explained to me while the jaws are still broken, breathing is easier through the mouth, especially when sleeping, hence waking up with really dry lips. Like I said, I just kept vaseline on them and drank about 2-3 litres of water a day and they generally kept quite moist through the day.
