On tuesday it will have been 5 weeks since my double jaw surgery but recently I've noticed that the left side of my jaw has been clicking and I woke up this morning and it has clicked a lot since and I've felt slight pressure near my left ear, assuming that it'll be where the jaw ends? I'm probably just over-reacting, what I'm asking is whether anyone had the same problem or know anything about it or whether it's just a normal thing when recovering? It's very unsettling to hear your face clicking, see..

Hey there! Ill be 5 weeks post op on Thursday! Sometimes I hear a click on my RIGHT side. Its crazy but I assume it must be like the plates or something? I'm not sure, I'll be going to see my surgeon Thursday and was going to ask him what he thought :)

It may be the scar tissue loosening up. I had clicking a few weeks after the surgery, but now it has gone away.

hey guys, i know its been 2 months since you posted on here but i just wanted to say my jaw has been clicking for about 3 years, way before i was offered the op on my jaw, i had an underbite, my top jaw came forward 6 mm and my bottom jaw went back 3mm, i had my op 5 days ago and i am in so much agony at the moment, i know it will be well worth it after the op and everyone i speak to who have had a simular op tell me it will get easier. everyday i am fining i can move my jaw a little bit more or i can twitch my nose, im still waiting for the swelling to go down, but i noticed today that i was able to click my jaw still, so the op has not fixed that.
Anyway i hope your recoveries went well.Posted 5 months ago # -

I've had some clicking when I swallow hard or accidentally almost yawn. It's just a very subtle thing, u can't hear it, but I definitely notice it and it seems to come from where the plates are. Its not painful fortunately but I asked my doc and he said it could be air pockets loosening and was nothing to worry about if it didn't hurt...and I'm gunna gues if it was the plates moving or bone cracking it'd hurt
