I am 2 weeks out from upper and lower jaw surgery and I'm just wondering how eating progresses. My doctor has told me no chewing or solid food for 6-8 weeks total. Right now I'm just eating liquids and occasionally I eat a mushy potato. Can anyone tell me how things progress on eating? As I get closer to 6 weeks will they let me eat more mushy food? Also when you are allowed to eat regular food is it difficult to do? Do you have to gradually start eating more and more solid food? Can you tell I'm hungry? Thanks so much.
