    Hello ladies & gents,

I figured I haven't posted a recovery topic since day 4, a day which was a very bad day, and I needed a more positive update :)

Today is 3 weeks since my surgery. This week when I see my surgeon he is going to take out my wafer and let me brush my teeth properly, I'm very excited for Thursday :)

As everyone on here said, I have been very up and down over the past 3 weeks. Day 6 was definitely a turning point and I started feeling a lot better, every few days since then I seem to hit a slump and hate it. Those are normally days where I haven't had enough sleep, haven't been able to get as much 'food' down me and have had a day with nothing to do and no one to see, today has felt like one of those days, which is a little lame.

Keeping busy is a must for me, my boyfriend's mum is a crafty lady and keeps providing me with things to do, I've made a wooden sheep (don't ask), knitted half a scarf and I'm now cross stitching a robot, haha. I've also worked my way through all the movie channels, a season of Weeds and most of Family Guy and South Park (it's like I'm 15 again!)

Eating has reached a bit of a stale mate. I have about 5 things that I like and I rotate these over the week, yes it is very boring, but I can stomach them. I always thought I would become a master with a blender, but the thought of mushy foods is really quite unappealing. I never truly appreciated texture before! As a result I've lost 25 pounds, the loss is slowing down now though thankfully, but my butt certainly appreciates it!

I hope the next 3 weeks go quite smoothly. I'm starting to do little bits and bobs to cheer myself up, I'm getting my hair done this weekend, think I may go home and see some friends the week after and then I'm in desperate need of a pair of jeans that don't fall to the floor after I pull them on! I would like to be able to go back to work, however as a waitress not being able to speak is a little difficult, I don't think anyone would like their pizza brought to their table by a banded and drooling girl. I also get exhausted by going up the stairs, so a 6 hour shift itself is a bit of a stretch in itself....

So yes, that's my recovery so far, hope it wasn't too boring a read!
    :)

Not boring at all, I'm glad to see you're doing fine. You've already done the worst part, and now everything can only get better :)
