Hi everyone, I study in Canada Alberta. Hehe I just see my surgery doctor. ..After take X-RAY and photoes. The doctor talk that I need to do upper and lower surgery... He shows me the process..scared ..But now I just worried about my upperlips cua the doctor said that there has 30% to happen no feeling forever,and I worried about it will change my facial style..I am affraid make my face too long.. And I also do not know anything about my surgery doctor. His name is Dr.S.Lalh. Is there anyone know him?My friends and my homestay parents also worry and suggest me to consult other doctor if there is another way .. Is there possible I just choice do upper or lower ? I have search lots of information from Internet..and I also see the video from YOUTUBE. It make me want to do this surgery.

Getting a second opinion couldn't hurt, so I would start there. Go see another surgeon and/or orthodontist and see what they have to say, then go from there.

I agree with Brandon to get a second opinion. I personally went to 3 different orthodontists (hoping one would tell me I didn't need surgery) before I decided on one.

I had upper jaw surgery 2/3/10...well on my way to recovery, a great smile and finally being able to chew normally!
