How do you eat with your mouth wired shut? I was watching several videos and it doesn't seem that everyone had their mouth shut for two months like my doctor said I would, they are able to open their mouth a little bit, am I understanding this right? Also, what is a splint? I'm having surgery in a few months and I have no idea how I'm going to even do a liquid diet with my teeth shut completely.

MemberI was on a liquid diet for 6 weeks plus =) I just blend in what ever I eat with soup =) I was fully shut for 1 week then partially shut for 4 weeks =) Drink atleast 2 to 3 servings of ensures to compensate those losses. I had my surgery 2 months plus ago It will be my 3rd month which is fully recovered on 21st dec xD =) I only get to eat something slowly at 6th week and during 6th week my jaw moveemnt was still slow and not wide enough for much things to go in.
