Hello everyone just had a question. I had lower jaw surgery done beginning of October. I'm shy of two months post op. Right now when I open as wide as I can I can fit about two fingers in my mouth. Is this pretty normal, I mean how wide were you opening at about two months post op? I'm getting a little worried and frustruated that this will be all I'll be able to open. Thanks.

Hi Susie, I am also 2 months post op I had my surgery 30/9, and like you I can only fit 2 fingers in my mouth as well. Like you I don't know if that's normal but but seeing as we can both only open that much at 2 months maybe it is. I see my orthodontist on Thursday I will be asking her.

Lisa, thanks so much for the reply. It made me feel a lot better. I saw my ortho already and he didn't say anything negative he only said to continue to do my exercises. I guess I started getting a little paranoid after doing to much "research" on the internet. If you don't mind, I would appreciate to hear what your ortho says about it and again thanks.
