i had braces thrice from three different orthodontists.finally i found out that in my case to get a good smile only surgery can help.
i have asymmetrical upper jaw since a tooth has been extracted in excess in my right side of my jaw. my case has become so complicated. surgeon has suggested me to undergo lefort 1 osteotomy and post surgical orthodics. is there anyone who has undergone the above surgery?

I don't know the technical names myself, can you explain what you're going to have done, upper and lower jaw movement, or just one?

i am going to undergo surgery only in my upper jaw... seven years back, when i had my braces my first premolars at both sides and the second premolar on the right side alone were extracted in my upper jaw for the orthodontic treatment.now the surgeon suggested me that surgery can be done only by extracting the second premolar at the left side to correct the symmetry. so i am going to loose all my premolars. this is the thing making me to worry about how my smile will be after the surgery.......
