159061, yeah I know what u're saying. It's like if you're really worried about that problem people are like "Hey, it's okay, I can't see anything wrong with your face" and if you're trying to live your life they're "OMFG, just look at his jaw!"
There are people who don't listen to "bullies" at school or whatever, but they HEAR them, so that's just not fair. Everybody should get a chance to live their live as they wanted to without any troubles with health or appearance.
By the way - though I considering a variant it made me more intelligent, I think it made my life worse too. When I'm out I'm just focused on pushing my lower jaw forward and if a stranger talks to me - I'm beginning to act weired. Though I'm okay when I'm with my friends and stuff. And I can't do some things I was planning for years! I want to fix it so bad.

Sarah, caricatures are made for fun! But when it's about physical defect - there's no any.

Everybody is open to their own opinions, I guess that for me I never looked at it as a defect, to me i just looked imbalanced. Although if for you it is a defect I can understand why you may feel that way. But I do agree that is isnt fair that someone should have to be bullied or made to feel like less by bullies because of a simple jaw difference.
A caricature may be made for fun, but it is generally at the expense of someone else, if someone is made fun of for say a big nose,or a big chin how is that any different to being made fun of for a big jaw? or for me bieng made fun of for looking like a duck or having buck teeth?

Well, it depends on a person. Some people are okay abut jokes and even me! Some people made fun of my eyebrows (not bulling just having fun) and I was laughing and that's absolutely normal, but if somebody will make fun of my jaw - I don't think that would be very pleasant.

My main point in what I was saying is that you shouldn't let being a little different impact your life too much, If you are smart and intellegent then that is a great, and you should embrace it but try not to let having a jaw 'deformity' dictate who you are, and what you are supposed to achieve and don't allow others to use it to make you feel a certain way.

Sarah I think that everyone grows up differently, therefore they experience having the defect also quite different. If you would be able to share about your self- consciousness to others that are close to you and have their understanding, you would feel so much comfortable to accept for who you are. And I guess It also depends on the characters of each person, how they view themselves as a person affect the way they act and behave.

In my case, I grew up hearning other making fun of my father that people consider himself as a crazy person who tends to talk to himself in public, I was learned to please others from my mother since she always needed help from others. When my parents fight, my mom was just yelling and my father was threatening to kill her, so she had to come to my uncle's house. Everytime like that I was just staying in my room and cry to myself. After the fight, my dad just came to me and told me that " I was unlucky to be born in this family." ... I would not mind my family issue so much if I would be able to socially interact with others and share how I feel, but having the underbite makes me feel my words are worthless ... and now I do have problem orally express myself ... My brain process really slow for me to find a word to express myself, so I can only write ..

and writing does help, but the thing is you should let all your writing come to a conclusion: action!

    everythin goes by, everythin proceeds.

"change is the only constant in the world" or somethin like that

keep holdin on and pass to action
