My lower jaw is "pulled back" so my nose looks 3x bigger than what it really is. I had braces to correct my overbite, so my bite is perfect, but I want to move forward my lower jaw in order to get a better appearance. Besides that, I hear a "whoooshing" sound every time I open my mouth and so I think I might have tmj.
I don't want implants, so please don't suggest them.

Basically my question is: can I have jaw surgery with a perfect bite?

I have an overbite and since having braces my bite gap between upper and lower teeth. I have to have surgery to correct this. Would moving your lower jaw forward not create an underbite if your bite is perfect?

The best thing is o seek out a surgeon as I'm not sure we can help. Do u have a picture?
