    Hey guys I'm having surgery in two days (June 23, 2011) and I am super nervous but really excited for it. I will be having my upper jaw moved forward along with them widening it and fixing my slight cross bite. Here is a link to my vlog on Youtube.

    best of luck to you!! it will look awesome, esp since you're not moving your lower jaw - which sometimes i think ppl make mistakes by shortening their lower jaws...

    Just want to wish you good luck! You're results will be great! I'm having the same done as you hopefully soon. Can I ask how long you have had braces for?

    Thanks for the positive words guys, it really helps a ton!

    @alice1992 I had braces preparing for the surgery for about a year and a half... specifically I got them in December of my junior year (2009) and my surgery is tomorrow. I also had braces earlier as a kid for about 3 years (6th - 8th grade.)

    That's great to know, it seems that it's common people going for jaw surgery have usually had braces before! I had braces from September 2007 - April 2009. Then July 2010 the second time! My Orthdontist said in May I was a 'few months' away from surgery. So I'm hoping August as there is no waiting list! How are you feeling? Nervous?

    I am extreamly nervous but not necessarily for the surgery but for the results after. Mostly I am just scared for how I will look after and how people will react who know me. It's pretty weird how theres a "two sets of Braces" trend haha!

    Since your surgery is pretty much the same as mine, I can't wait to see how it turns out! I hope everything goes smoothly and you have a speedy recovery!

    I know exactly what you mean! I am nervous/scared for how I'm going to look after and hoping I'll like the 'new me' as I know swelling takes forever to go down and your look changes everyday. I wish you the best of luck, can't wait to see your after pics and your recovery x
