Some of you may have noticed all of the spam posts lately. I've got several plugins in place to try to stop them, but it only slows them down, so I have to log in every morning and delete several of these posts, so the important threads don't get buried by the junk, and people can still find the useful information they were looking for.

I'm having less and less time to keep up with them, and I really want to keep this site free, since it's become such a great supportive community for all of us jaw surgeristas, so if anyone can help out, that would be great!

I'm looking for one or more people that visit the blog on a regular basis, preferably daily that could help delete the spam posts each day. It's very simple, and I will make you a video tutorial to show you exactly how to do it.

If you're interested, please reply to this post, and I'll make you a moderator that gives you the power to delete the posts, along with the video tutorial on how to do it.

Thanks so much for anyone willing to help!

I'm Brandon, the creator of JawSurgeryBlog.com. I personally had upper and lower jaw surgery on October 30, 2007. Thankfully, everything went beautifully, so I'm trying to make sure everyone else's surgery goes smoothly as well!

Hi Brandon, I'm happy to delete some - as long as it can be done on an iPhone (I assume so). I log in most days.

If I think I can no longer do it can let you knOw.

Great site, such a shame it has to be ruined by spammers. I'll be happy to help, online most days :D

Thanks so much you all, I just upgraded all 3 of you to Moderators, so you should now be able to delete topics.

I did a quick video tutorial on how to do it, really simple but just make sure that you can do it with your new Moderator powers, I'm pretty sure you can, but let me know if you have any problems or questions...

    Hi Brandon:
Would love to help out in this area. Let me know how I can help, as I'm house bound after surgery anyways! :)
Also, any chance of us being able to reset our OWN passwords? It's hard to post when you have to hunt for a password thru your email... I also think we should have a longer 'current' recent thread list. Anyways, let me know! :)
