I'm a little bit over 3 weeks post op and for the past few days I have been having what I think is muscle spasms in my lower jaw. ( had upper and lower surgery) It mostly occurs when I am laying down about to fall asleep. They arent really that painful and I feel kinda of a tingling feeling in my lips when it happens. So I'm just wondering if any one else has experienced anything like this.
Thanks :)

yes, It's your nerves healing so it's a good thing!

If your jaw is actually moving like it would in a spasm, then that's normal. It's just your muscles getting used to their new position.
If it's a tingling, like lightening bolts or a burning sensation, that's your nerves.Posted 10 months ago # -
