Three weeks post-op and my first before/after post.
Okay, Moving on.
I had surgery on august 8th, 2011. Overall, it wasn't that bad (see link #2 for full disclosure)
it does suck not being able to eat anything. It's depressing when a dog food commercial comes on TV and it looks appetising.
Okay, moving on. it's been exactly ten weeks since surgery. My mouth is fully functional except i still can't feel part of my chin and lip, but that's fine by me. I wear heavy rubber bands at night and light ones during the day, so my mouth hurts, (wah wah wah...) and i'm just about done with braces. FOREVER. woohoo!
I decided today that i needed another post op photo because my first ones were only three weeks post op. so, here we go.
Laslty, if you're curious about price, mine was mostly covered by insurance, but out of pocket total was about $6,000.
Also, if you have doubts wheter it's worth it or not, i would do it again. i'm so happy with the results, i can't even believe it!
