Rnjennyc I just had my surgery on the 26th. I am in tight rubber bands with a splint. I can't open my mouth at all. How did you make the chicken pot pie soo thin & watery so you can eat it? I tried spaghetti sauce the other day & I didn't have much luck. Little parts of the meat from the meatballs kept getting stuck in the syringe. "/ I'm starving!!

I went through the same things with different spices getting stuck. With the pot pie I just kept adding broth until it was thin enough and luckily it kept all its flavor. Or maybe I was so hungry I didnt care. it did take a long time to eat....just would suck a little bit down at a time. It would help to keep a glass of water or broth to sip in between just to be sure that I didntt get choked! Good luck!!

The first week or two I was really excited to try blending things cause I was starving.
However I wasn't ready to, I was too swollen. I can only swallow what can fit in through the gap between my back teeth and cheek. In the first few weeks that was mostly water and broth.I'd say once week 3 hit I was much better.
I still can't do meat bits, however if things are a bit thicker they are much easier.
Maybe give yourself a few more days :)How long are you banded tight with a splint xtina?
