Pre-Surgery Dreams

    My surgery is three weeks away and I keep having dreams about recovery (not the actual surgery itself). For example I dreamed that my wires came off only a day after being let out of hospital (got to be wired shut for 6 weeks) and I had to queue ages to get it fixed at the hospital and then it was too late and I was running round like a mad woman with a really painful jaw....!

    Anyone else experience this, or am I just weird? I keep telling my other half about them and I think he thinks I'm worrying too much, but I can't control my dreams - wish I could!

    Awh Jayney!

    It's totally normal to be worried about your surgery and recovery.
    I'm sure a load of people dream about it too. I just felt queasy and panicked, so yay for not feeling sick at least.

    You really will be fine though, promise!

    Also, I'm also wired for 6 weeks, then another 2 loosely, if you need to rant about it then look me up :)

    four weeks after my surgery I dreamt all my teeth fell out. Needless to say I was a bit freaked out when I woke up!

    Yea I've had the dreams about my teeth falling since having the surgery haha. Such a relief waking up to find they haven't.

    LOL pre surgery dreams, I know Ive had some however lol I cant remember them but I do know they were horrible not a good feeling. I just hope I dont look worse than I did going in.

    I'm 2 weeks post-op and ever since I left the hospital I've been having dreams that I'm chewing, then I wake up panicked as if I ruined everything. The first day home I woke up almost in tears because I was dreaming that I was eating bacon and I realized I wasn't supposed to and started pulling it out of the back of mouth while crying. The next day it was the same dream but gobs and gobs of bubblegum...orange flavor. I even dreamed that I broke everything in my mouth, including my teeth, splint, braces, and when I found a hospital everyone spoke Chinese and I couldn't understand anyone.
    Thankfully the dreams are getting fewer and fewer...but seriously, so weird.
