hey, im getting braces on october 3rd 2011, having to wear them for about 16 months, more or less, then having the surgery. i cauclated it to be in feb 2012 sometime , but am hoping that he could do it during march break or after schools done since im in grade 11 then and i dont want it to interfer with school and grades, etc . after the surgery, i have to continue wearing the braces for another 8 months, more or less, then am probably wearing a retainer.
anyway, my surgery is for both upper and lower jaws,getting my lower jaw moved back, upper jaw moved forward, aswell as moving both jaws in a 'straight' position since theyve shifted in opposite positions . (meaning that on my right side of the jaws the top jaw isnt align with the bottom jaw, over to much, and on the left is the opposite: the bottom jaw over and the top jaw in.) hard to explain... heres a photo to show:
