Sleeping after jaw surgery

    I find my throat gets really scratchy and I keep waking up in the middle of the night coughing. It also feels weird when I swallow. Anyone got any tips I could use?

    Elaine: I would think it's scratchy cuz it's too dry or too much mucus? Too dry: humidifier, Too much mucus: sudafed, or robitussin.

    THat ice cold 7up really was the only thing that could cut the "burn" in my throat!! Put it in the freezer for a little bit and take it out. I would get these tickles that caused a coughing fit and that 7up was the only thing that could stop it!
