Omg. A week after my surgery I had a crazy break-out of acne all over my nose, upper lip and chin. And I don't usually get acne like this.
It got worse the next week.
I went to a dermatologist and thank god! They prescribed me with an amazing face cream that pretty much eliminates all the acne I had on my face.
Here's my following routine for everyone if they ever get post-steriods acne breakout.
1. Wash your face every morning with a foaming face wash that deeply cleanses and clears the skin. I used Teatree+Witch Hazel foaming face wash from Boots.
2. Tone your face with any toner that remove excess oils and bacteria.
3. Follow it with a Anti-Blemish Oil Control Day Moisturiser. I use Teatre+Witch Hazel moisturizer from Boots.
4. At night, follow steps 1 & 2. Here I use the gel my dermatologist prescribed for me. It's called Benzac AC (benzeyl peroxide gel)water base gel 5%. Apply evenly around the face and then go to bed.
I promise you, all my tiny zits were nearly gone within 3 days. My face would sting for a bit but I got used to it. I can proudly tell you I had over 25 zits around my nose, upper lips and chin. That's how bad it got. Today (3 days later) I just have around 5-6!
It's all about cleansing your face from all the excess oils and moisturizing it.
