SWELLING QUESTION?!

    I'm on day 10 of recovery. & I am wondering when the swelling will go down completly or enough to wear I look normal? hahha ANYthing helps pictures of recovery would be great!

    Give it six weeks and about 95% of your swelling will have gone. Everyone is different though so you might be lucy. Plus I'm old so take longer to heal!

    I went back to work after six weeks but could probably have gone back after week 4 even though I was still pretty swollen. I still had bruises at 4 weeks. I'm so much less swollen now though 3 months down the line. It's different for everyone though. I've seen photos of people who are completely back to normal after 4 weeks. I think my swelling has taken longer than normal to go down as I'm a bit older (34).

    this is me at the end of three weeks

    and this is me after 3 months. Still got swollen cheeks but looking much more normal!

    i had just lower surgery on the 10 sep, moved lower jaw in about 6mm. Now it's 11 days post-op and I'm wired shut for 3 weeks, I would say my swelling had gone down quite a lot, probably 60-70% (much better comparing to my day 1-2). I look OK (still swollen) but I'm already back to work after 8 days and will attend my friend wedding on this friday too. I guess everyone is different. I think around 2-4 weeks mark, major swelling will go away.

    The first week is the worst for swelling. stay elevated and ice on for 20 off for 30 minutes. The swelling started to improve after a week. My face is still sorta tender now. Like if someone touched my face it would hurt. Im going to be 6 weeks next friday
