Still updating this blog. Dumb moment though: I don't want to wait until tomorrow to call my surgeon and ask him, but I got banded today and, when I took them out, I immediately forgot how they were arranged. I think I got it the way it was originally, but I suppose it isn't that important save for the one 'cross' that's supposed to help my midline - I got at least that. :x

Quick comparison: about a week pre-surgery vs six days post-surgery
I'll show the actual teeth in a few days when the swelling's down more / I get a chance to shave all that stubble off :p

Wow! You don't even look like you had surgery. So jealous. My lips are still huge sausages and I can't make them close. Most of the bottom of my face is black, blue and yellow. I look like I got in a bad fight still. I know I had way more work done than you but man, what a huge difference in our recovery. By the way, your bite looks really good.
I had a 2 piece LeFort 1 that widened my upper jaw 3-4mm, my upper jaw was shortened by 6mm to reduce my gummy smile, pushed back 3mm and tilted up in the back. My lower jaw was pushed back 3mm. Surgery was December 1, 2011

basically pretty much four week update:
I got bored of blogging; I could go on and on about it about my actual life, but as far as just the recovery process is concerned there just isn't anything too interesting or unusual to report.
I'm healing extraordinarily fast, according to both my surgeons, my anaesthesiologist, and a few other people who worked on me. By three weeks I was as far along in healing as most patients are after six.
I'm very very happy with the results. My face is a few mm shorter, which balances out my profile, and my speech/chewing/nose-breathing is way improved. Of course the implant process is still ahead, but that ain't not no nothin' compared to getting a Lefort.
