I don't see my surgeon until the 29th of this month but I'm going nuts with all the questions I have. Have been having trouble finding answers on the web. Its an almost certainty that I will have to have a discectomy...both sides. The surgery has been very generally described to me but I'd like details. I'm not sure how they'll go about getting the disks out. I know where the cut will be and that I "won't have use of my jaw" for 4 to 6 weeks. Are we talking wired shut? I've never had any kind of major surgery and would feel much less apprehensive if I just had a few answers. If anyone knows anything about if PLEASE let me know! Thanks!!
