I had lower jaw surgery about two months ago. Recovery was going great and then about three days ago the left TMJ (jaw joint) started getting really painful whenever I would open my mouth wide and to chew. I'm hoping this is happening because my bite is still not where it's supposed to be but I was just wondering if this has happen to anyone else.

I had TMJ issues before surgery, however once I got my braces and my teeth started moving it stopped. Now it's back and I'm getting worried that maybe the surgery made it worse.

This is definitely something I would bring up with your surgeon Susie. It could just be things still shifting like you said, but better safe than sorry and to catch any complications early.
