   Hey guys just a wee update for ev1.

   for ye's that dont know i had double jaw surgery due to a underbite.
   i got lower jaw moved back by 7 mm and the upper moved forward by 3mm.

   i cant belive its 8 wks only its feels like ages ago.

   i had few bad spells and bad days at teh start like ev1, but im doing great now and gettin on with it. people still cant get over teh change in my face.

   I still have a bit swelling in my checks just a wee bit my surgeon said, he has been quite impressed with me as i have always had minimal swelling and have reciverd really fast.

   im just in side elastics now and am chewing soft foods like chicken and pastas. my jaw still hurts when i keep my elastics out too long and i have to wear my front ones at nite.

   im back at teh orthos on teh 16th feb and think my elastics will be comin out al2gether and braces off sumtime in march.

   Hey bonbon, looking really fab. How are you feeling in yourself. Would you say you see yourself nearing end of recovery?

   I've been speaking to some jaw surgery friends on facebook who are at week 12 and have only just got back to eating most foods.

   It's certainly a longer process than I had envisaged but at least we're getting there.

   I still have fair amount of swelling in lower cheeks but getting out and about a lot more now so hope that helps.

   If you work, when did you go back? I start again tonight and not looking forward to everyone having their first look at the new face!! :-/

   Bsso for overbite on 21st December. Lower advanced 8mm upper impacted by 3mm and moved forward 2mm.

   Looking great Bonbon, MASSIVE improvement and when you get your braces out youre gonna look even better! Im on day 6 today and coping well. Swelling has really started to reduce today and looking forward to looking a little bit better every day! :-)

   3mm vertical repositioning of the maxilla by Le Fort 1 osteotomy and sagittal split mandibular advancement again of around 3mm. Scheduled for Friday 27th January, 2012 :-/

   you're looking really lovely bonbon! Much softer and feminine features and levely friendly face (everyone used to say my underbite made me look really mean!) All the very best with the rest of your recovery. You're looking really awesome!

   Great results bonbon!

   On 12/28/11 I had a 4 piece LeFort 1 procedure done to correct an open bite.

   awh thanxs ev1.

   Donna i feel far better in myself, i used to be very aware of my underbite and how i looked i luv the difference now, did take me a few wks to get used to it but evbody teels me how great i looked it didnt take long for me to think the same.lol

   i think i am nearin the end of the worst of the recovery, i eat mostly evthing now but can only chew on my right side becuz i have no feeling on the left side it feels wierd when i try and chew.lol

   donna i went back to wrk 2 wks ago, i talk all day on the phone so by the end of teh wk my face started to swell again but its grand now i think it was puttin to much strain on my jaw. i was actually plannin to go back 3 wks ago but took ill and cudnt, glad to be back to be honest was gettin seriously bored.lol

   it is a long recovery but we will get there.lol

   hope ur recovery is goign well donna and let us know how u get on at wrk.

   i agree @divorce i think i will luk even better when teh braces out.

   @Rachel thanxs, evone always said i looked like my dad which really annoyed me cuz i knew i wasnt that feminne looking even though im so girly.lol

   its funny rachel friends of mine said when tehy first meet me they said i looked mean and checky untill they got to know me and i wudnt hurt a fly.lol

   I love my results and just cant wait for teh braces to be out.

   hey hun great to see you looking so well!! and doing equally as well by the sound of it.
   im at almost 11 weeks now and like you just waiting for these braces out ,getting inpatient for it now but know probably got anothe rmonth or so to go lol

   hey linzi thanxs, i know im not gettin my hopes about the braces as long as there out for may for the wedding then i dont care.lol

   its goona feel wierd though when they come out, 2 and half years not feeling r teeth.lol

   so u fully recovered then missus? x

    ooo yes the wedding....i bet youre getting excited now? are you all ready for it?? apart from the braces lol

    im the same mine been on 3 years now and im so ready to see the back of them.

    id say im pretty close to recovered...no swelling,eating almost everything.not chewy or too hard just yet though.still got some numbness in the chin but dont notice it unless i touch it.still got the same bands on that i had from day one....well not the same ones lol i mean tightness and the way they on,
    the end is in sight for us girl!!!!
